Greetings ladies and Welcome Online

We miss not being able to gather as women for fellowship events.

We will be using this format to reach out to the ladies during this time of pandemic. We will be periodically posting devotionals, encouraging words ... maybe even a video taped skit for your encouragement in the Lord. If you are interested in posting a devotional please contact Deann Blake.

Women's Ministry Mission Statement

A mission statement defines the reason an organization exists. The purpose of Columbus Avenue Baptist women's ministries is to support women in their relationship with God so that through spiritual friendship, mentoring, modeling and teaching one another we might experience the freedom to become all that God intends us to be through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Matthew 25:35-36
For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me

Known Secret Sisters Friendship Ministry Outreach

We have had several ladies ask about "secret sisters" which session concluded last May.
March 2021 is "Friendship Ministry Outreach" will be directed toward the isolated and lonely in church or in our community.
This outreach is a variation of secret sisters. It will be "like" secret sisters but not a "secret". You can be a friend to someone in church or community who requests one. I will get a list of ladies who want a friend.  If your interested in having an elderly community friend, Please let me know and we will pair you up with someone. In this friendship you will be the one in contact in various ways...as simple as an occasional phone call, or in home visit, send a card, write letters for them, grocery delivery, or discipleship, etc.  Like a secret sister it will be for 6 months.
It's a good way to help relieve some loneliness and isolation and provide fellowship.
Diana made and donated wonderful quilts for WM use. You are welcome to take one to your new friend.
Please let Deann Blake @ duoblake@gmail.com know if your interested in being a friend.
